Cassaday Farms was originally established around 1895 by Harry Cassaday. The business began as a samll, homestead farm consisting of 70 acres. In the late 1970’s some neighboring farms were purchased and additional land rented to increase the farm from 70 to 300 acres. In 1991, the operations began purchasing more local land and expanding the company even further. At this point Cassaday Farms started to focus more on to direct sales to distributors, wholesalers, road stands and super market chains. In 2011, Cassady farms has grown to 1,500 acres; employ 70 seasonal workers and 5 full time workers.
Cassaday Farms provides Sorbello Farms CSA with strawberries, sweet corn, and brussel sprouts.
