In 1910, Santo and Sara Maccherone came to America from Italy with the dream of one day owning a farm. In 1942, their dream became reality when, after decades of saving money, they purchased a farm in New Jersey. Today, Santo John Maccherone (third generation) and his son John Maccherone (fourth generation) continue the family tradition of farming. Little has changed on the farm. The same old Ford tractor pulls the wagons of peaches in from the field and a 1960 Ford F100 truck hauls unpacked crates of asparagus to the packing shed. Just like it was in 1942, Santo and John have a hands-on approach to farming. Santo drives the forklift in the packing shed, managing the packed and unpacked fruit, while John works alongside the harvesting and picking teams to ensure that they’re producing the freshest peaches possible. Circle M Farms grows peaches, nectarines, and flat peaches which are all offered in white and yellow flesh. New to the farm are red and yellow fleshed plums. Harvest time is July, August, and September (weather depending). Peach and plum cider and jams, peach barbeque sauce, salsa, and jarred peaches are available year round.
Circle M Farms provides Sorbello Farms CSA with fresh peaches, plums, nectarines plus many other jarred items year round.
