How long do I have to commit?
When you purchase an annual membership in our CSA you will be able to commit to one of our three flexible plans. You can receive a box a month, a box bi-weekly, or a box weekly. You can even switch between plans throughout the year and pause you subscription if you go on vacation! We feel this flexibility makes sense for the average person and allows all age demographics to participate in our program.
Why do I have to pay an enrollment fee?
Everyone who wants to purchase vegetables from our year round CSA program must pay a non-refundable $25 annual membership fee. It’s your “personal commitment” to us that you wish to purchase fruits, and or vegetables, so we can plan accordingly. It takes 60 to 120 days for plants to produce fruit so we must plan ahead of time to ensure you always have fresh produce available to you and your family.
How do I pay my enrollment fee?
Easy, just click the “Membership” button above and complete the sign-up process. All our transactions are processed through Paypal (just like eBay). Our box plans are subscriptions and your card will be charged as according to your particular plan (every 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days).
Do I get to choose what kinds of vegetables that will go into my box?
No, you cannot pick what goes in your box however you can add additional produce to your box through our Add-on program.
Where do I pick up my box of produce?
You don’t! We will deliver your fresh vegetables to your door as long you are in our delivery area. As we grow our business, we will grow our delivery radius. If you are not in our delivery area please email us so you can be placed on the waiting list until your area opens.
Are the vegetables in our CSA program organic?
We use sustainably responsible methods of growing that has allowed our farming operations to produce high quality Jersey Fresh produce since the 1930’s. Many of our produce is not even grown in the ground which allows us to use eliminate herbicides and most pesticides. While we use many organic products and methods in our operations we are not certified organic.
If I live outside your delivery area can I have my box sent to a friend or relative who lives within your delivery radius?
Yes you can! We have many people who do this. Just use their “shipping address” when you purchase your box and pick it up at their house. Let’s keep this simple!
What kinds of vegetables will be in my box?
This is a great question. We will only grow popular vegetables the average person uses every day or knows how to prepare in the kitchen. For example, I am a farmer and I have never eaten a turnip in my life, and I don’t recall my mother ever purchasing one in the grocery store, so you will not get a turnip from us! You will get vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, pickles, eggplant, strawberries, carrots, cantaloupe, corn, etc.
How do I know when to purchase my box?
Once you pick a plan you are all set. Your credit card will automatically be billed and your box will be sent to your doorstep as per your plan.
Do I have to be home to receive my box?
No, that is the beauty of it! We will leave your box on your doorstep waiting for you to come home from work.
What if I am having problems with the website check out process on the internet?
We are dealing with technology so I guarantee you there WILL be issues from time to time. If you have any problems please use the email firstname.lastname@example.org
